ATREYU To Perform A Deathgrip On Yesterday Album At Foundation Fest

Atreyu has announced its own festival called Foundation Fest. The festival is scheduled for December 16 and 17, both at The Observatory in Santa, Ana, California. Atreyu is set to headline both nights, with one of the two sets being its 2006 album A Deathgrip On Yesterday in full!

“Foundation Fest is a way for us to have some hometown fun around the holidays and put together a lineup that showcases some of our favorite Orange County bands, as well as some great acts from around the globe,” said Atreyu guitarist Dan Jacobs. “We’re really looking forward to its debut year, as well as many more to come.”

Outside Atreyu’s performance each night, December 16 will consist of Adamantium, Death By Stereo, and Aeges. December 17 will have The Word Alive, Assuming We Survive, and Capsize opening for Atreyu. Cool that the first night is old-school (reunited Adamantium, anyone?) and the second night is newer stuff!

METALLICA Announce Latin America Tour Dates

With a brand new Metallica album, Hardwired… To Self-Destruct scheduled to be released on November 18th, today, Metallica announced the first official tour dates in support of the new album.

First up we travel to Latin America with stops in Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Colombia, Guatemala and Costa Rica. All the dates and ticket information, including presales for the Fifth Members, is below. We can’t think of a better place to get the juices flowing and set the table for many more shows to come!

Here are the dates so far:

October 26: San Juan, Puerto Rico, Coliseo de Puerto Rico
October 29: Quito, Ecuador, Parque Bicentenario
November 1: Bogotá, Colombia, Hipódromo De Los Andes
November 3: Guatemala City, Guatemala, Estadio Cementos Progreso

You can get info on pre-sales and onsales right here.

For the rest of the world, relax, this is just the beginning! Lars has already promised that the band will do extensive touring, pointing to the 180 shows for their last album and they plan to match that with this release:

“We’re going to start pretty much full-on touring in January and are looking to figure out what we’re doing in North America, but there will definitely be some pretty extensive touring in America.”

Metallica released the “Hardwired” single  a few weeks ago. Earlier this week, a fan recreated the riffs from the new single using the band’s classic tones from the first four albums.

PROTEST THE HERO Aim To Release Pacific Myth EP By December

Between October 2015 and May 2016, Protest The Hero released its Pacific Myth EP track by track to its Bandcamp subscribers. If you weren’t a part of that subscription service, there was no other (legal) way to obtain the release. The band said that it will release the EP physically and digitally at some point, though that point has not yet come. As a bit of trivia, the EP is also the first release from Protest The Hero to feature bassist Cam McLellan and drummer Mike Ieradi.Protest-the-Hero_1_1
